Coat of Arms of Bangka Belitung Islands Hoodie - Design Description
This hoodie showcases the Coat of Arms (Emblem) of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Indonesia, a powerful visual representation of the region's identity and values. The design is centered around a five-angled shield, a standard format in Indonesian provincial emblems, symbolizing the nation's foundational philosophy, Pancasila, and its protection of the province.
At the heart of the design is a circular field containing a detailed map of the Bangka Belitung Islands, proudly displaying the province's geographical boundaries. Surrounding the map, a symmetrical circular element reinforces the concept of unity and togetherness among the islands' diverse population in a global context.
Within the circular field, several key symbolic motifs are meticulously incorporated. Twenty-seven grains of rice pay homage to Law No. 27 of 2000, which established the province, while thirty-one pepper fruits represent Bangka Belitung's status as the 31st province of Indonesia. Together, the rice and pepper signify prosperity and well-being. A prominent tin block acknowledges the province's rich mineral resources, historically pivotal to its economy.
The color palette is rich with symbolism. Dark and light blue evoke the surrounding seas and the province’s maritime wealth. White represents peace and steadfastness. Yellow embodies harmony and strength, while green signifies the fertile land and thriving vegetation. A strong black outline reinforces the design's firmness and resolve.
The design is completed with the province's motto, “Serumpun Sebalai,” usually positioned below or around the emblem, which reinforces the message of unity, cooperation, and shared destiny among the people of the Bangka Belitung Islands.
