Escudo de España (Spain) Hoodie - Design
This hoodie features the official Coat of Arms of Spain, meticulously rendered according to heraldic norms ("Escudo de España ajustado a la norma heráldica"). The design is a powerful visual statement, a testament to Spain's rich history and national identity.
The Shield: A Tapestry of Kingdoms
The central element is the quartered shield, representing the historical kingdoms that formed modern Spain:
- First Quarter (Castile): A golden castle with three towers stands proudly on a red background, symbolizing the Kingdom of Castile.
- Second Quarter (León): A purple lion rampant, crowned in gold, strides across a silver (white) field, the emblem of the Kingdom of León.
- Third Quarter (Aragon): Four red vertical stripes adorn a golden field, the iconic "Senyera" of the Kingdom of Aragon.
- Fourth Quarter (Navarre): A golden chain, the symbol of the Kingdom of Navarre, is displayed on a red background.
- Enté en pointe (Granada): At the bottom center, a silver field holds a pomegranate, representing the Kingdom of Granada.
The Royal Heart
At the center of the shield is the inescutcheon, or small central shield, of the Bourbon-Anjou dynasty, the current Royal House. This element features a blue shield adorned with three golden fleurs-de-lis, framed by a red border.
Royal Crest & Symbols of Expansion
The entire shield is crowned with the Spanish Royal Crown, a symbol of the monarchy and national sovereignty. Optional elements include two columns, the Pillars of Hercules, flanking the shield, each bearing the inscription "PLUS ULTRA" ("further beyond"). These columns represent Spain's overseas expansion and its spirit of exploration.
The design adheres strictly to heraldic rules, ensuring the accurate use of colors (tinctures), symbols, and proportions, as established by Spanish law. It is a visual representation of Spain’s heritage and enduring strength.
