Escudo de Guadalupe-Huila (Colombia) T-Shirt: Design Description
This t-shirt showcases the official Coat of Arms (Escudo) of Guadalupe, a municipality in the Huila department of Colombia. The design centers around the shield, rendered in the classic German-style blazon shape, and framed by a band of gold, a color symbolizing the brilliance and eminence of the people of Guadalupe.
The shield itself is bisected horizontally. The upper half features a white dove, a powerful symbol of peace, purity, and honesty, set against a vibrant blue backdrop, representing the abundance of water sources found within the municipality.
The lower half of the shield depicts the rugged mountain chain of the Eastern Cordillera, which marks the boundary and acts as a gateway to the Amazon. In front of the mountains, a small depiction of the historic Capilla Santa Lucía, a significant local landmark, can be seen. Behind these elements, rays of golden light burst forth, a visual representation of divine guidance, the fertility of the land, and the hope for the future.
Completing the design is a red ribbon or scroll, placed below the shield and bearing the motto "FE, LABORIOSIDAD Y PROGRESO" (Faith, Hard Work, and Progress). The red ribbon itself, a symbol of the love and cordiality that binds the people of Guadalupe, encapsulates the core values of the community.
