Flag of Afghanistan (2002-2004) Hoodie Design
This hoodie design showcases the flag of Afghanistan used from 2002 to 2004, a powerful symbol of the nation's history and aspirations. The design features a bold vertical tricolor, immediately recognizable for its distinct symbolism.
Tricolor Design
The flag is divided into three equal vertical bands. At the hoist, a solid black band represents the past, acknowledging periods of hardship and struggle. The central band is a vibrant red, symbolizing the blood shed for the country's independence and sovereignty. Finally, the green band at the fly represents hope for the future, along with Islam, and prosperity for the nation.
Central Emblem
Superimposed upon the tri-color is the national emblem in white, centered on the flag. This emblem is rich with meaning, depicting a mosque with a mihrab and pulpit, oriented towards Mecca. Above the mosque, rays of the rising sun offer a symbolic dawn for the nation, alongside two Afghan flags on either side. The emblem is adorned with the Takbir (“Allāhu akbar”) text as a significant part of the design, and beneath it, the word “Afghanistan”, with the year 1298 (Islamic calendar, corresponding to 1919 CE) – the year of the country's independence. This detail proudly marks a pivotal moment in the nation's history.
The overall design is a striking representation of Afghanistan's national identity during this transitional period, combining historical elements with a message of hope and renewed sovereignty.
