Olomouc Region CoA T-Shirt Design
This t-shirt showcases the official Coat of Arms (CoA) of the Olomouc Region in the Czech Republic, a striking design rich in history and symbolism.
Quartered Shield
The core of the design is a shield, divided into four distinct quarters.
Quarter 1: Moravian Eagle
The top left quarter features a blue background adorned with a chequered eagle, a symbol of Moravia. The eagle boasts silver and red checks, with a golden crown, beak, and claws. This quarter pays homage to the historical region of Moravia, which encompasses most of the Olomouc Region.
Quarter 2: Silesian Eagle
The top right quarter is gold/yellow, and displays a black eagle with a golden crown. This quarter represents the historical ties to Silesia, acknowledging the northern part of the region's historical background.
Quarter 3: River Morava
The bottom left quarter, also gold/yellow, presents a single, blue, wavy stripe. This "bend" represents the River Morava, which flows through the region, and the gold represents the fertile fields of Haná.
Quarter 4: SPQO - Olomouc
The bottom right quarter utilizes a blue background. The golden letters "SPQO" (Senatus Populusque Olomucensis) are prominently displayed. This refers to the city of Olomouc, linking the region's symbol with its capital.
The overall design reflects the rich history, diverse geography, and regional identity of the Olomouc Region by combining the eagles of Moravia and Silesia with the River Morava and the city of Olomouc.
