State Flag of Venezuela (1930-1954) Hoodie Design
This hoodie showcases the historical State Flag of Venezuela used from 1930 to 1954, a vibrant emblem of Venezuelan national identity during a significant period of its history.
Design Elements
The design features the classic horizontal tricolor of Venezuela: a top stripe of yellow, a middle stripe of blue, and a bottom stripe of red. The yellow band represents the nation's wealth, the sun, and the promise of new beginnings. The blue band symbolizes the Caribbean Sea that separates Venezuela from Spain, and the red band honors the blood shed for the country's independence.
Symbolism
A distinctive feature of the design is the semicircle of seven white, five-pointed stars centered within the blue stripe. These stars represent the seven provinces – Caracas, Cumaná, Barcelona, Barinas, Margarita, Mérida, and Trujillo – that initially declared Venezuelan independence in 1811.
In the upper hoist (top-left) corner of the yellow stripe, the 1930 version of the Venezuelan coat of arms is prominently displayed. This coat of arms, rich in detail, symbolizes the Republic and the union of its federal states. It includes elements representing the union of the states, wealth, victory, independence, freedom, and abundance, further enriching the historical significance of the design.
