Tarutyne Raion Coat of Arms Hoodie Design
This hoodie showcases the official emblem of the former Tarutyne Raion, a district in southwestern Ukraine. The design is a powerful representation of the region's history, geography, and cultural identity.
Central Shield: The Heart of the Emblem
The core of the design is a traditional heraldic shield, featuring a vibrant gold (yellow) background. At the center of this golden field, a striking black (or very dark) young wild horse rears proudly on its hind legs. This image symbolizes the historical steppe and meadow lands that defined the area, reflecting the open-steppe geography and the region's pastoral heritage.
Territorial Crown and Embellishments
Above the shield sits a stylized territorial crown, a golden ring adorned with three visible green stylized viburnum-leaf “teeth.” Between the leaves, clusters of red viburnum berries add a vibrant touch. This crown signifies the district's status as an administrative-territorial unit.
The shield is further enhanced by a wreath of golden wheat ears, a clear symbol of the region's agricultural wealth, abundance, and fertility, and the importance of grain-growing. Entwined with the wheat ears is a vine of grapes, complete with blue grape-clusters, which pays homage to the local viticulture and winemaking traditions connected to the southern part of Odesa Oblast.
The Rushnyk and Cultural Identity
Behind the shield and its embellishments, a silver/white ritual cloth ("rushnyk") drapes the entire composition. The rushnyk, bearing a red ornament and a blue inscription reading “Тарутинський район” (Tarutyne Raion), invokes tradition, local customs, and heritage.
