Trinidad and Tobago Coat of Arms T-Shirt Design
This design showcases the official Coat of Arms of Trinidad and Tobago, a vibrant emblem brimming with cultural significance, as updated in 2025.
The Shield
The shield is divided into two main sections: black (Sable) at the top and red (Gules) at the bottom, separated by an elevated chevron. A narrow white (Argent) chevron cuts across the shield. At the top of the shield, two gold-colored hummingbirds (Or) face each other, symbolizing the nation's history and indigenous culture. In the base of the shield, representing the lower section, a gold steelpan rests with two of its iconic pan sticks, representing the national musical instrument, innovation, and cultural identity.
The Crest
Above the shield, the crest features a golden (Or) royal helmet. Emerging from it is a palm tree and a gold steering wheel. This is a nod to Tobago's heritage, with the palm tree representing its former arms and the steering wheel connecting to maritime themes.
The Supporters
The shield is flanked by two supporters: a Scarlet Ibis on the dexter side (left as viewed) representing Trinidad and a Cocrico on the sinister side (right as viewed) representing Tobago. Both birds are depicted in their natural colors with their wings elevated, ready to take flight.
The Compartment
The entire design rests upon a compartment depicting two islands rising from the waves, signifying the twin-island nature of Trinidad and Tobago and its geographic location.
The Motto
Finally, the design is completed with the motto: "Together we aspire, together we achieve," underscoring the values of national unity, cooperation, and progress.
