UKR Amvrosiivka COA (Ukraine) Hoodie - Design Description
This hoodie showcases the Coat of Arms of Amvrosiivka, a city in Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine, a design rich in local history and symbolism. The artwork centers around the official COA, adopted on February 2, 1993, and refined on March 26, 1999.
The Shield
The central element is a shield, divided diagonally (per bend). The upper-left quadrant is red (gules), representing the local clay mining and the manufacture of red bricks and tiles. The lower-right quadrant is green (vert), symbolizing the local nature and beauty.
A narrow black and white (sable and argent) diagonal band runs along the division, symbolizing the railway which was key to the city’s founding and development. To the left of this band sits a cold chisel, rendered in its natural color, signifying craftsmanship and industry. To the right of the band is a silver (argent) slate sheet, representing the local building materials.
Decorative Elements
The shield is further adorned with a silver (argent) cartouche. Above the shield sits a silver urban crown with three prongs, a common heraldic element indicating city status.
The shield is flanked by a coniferous (pine) branch on the right side and a branch of blooming lilac on the left, likely representing the local flora. These branches are bound together by a blue ribbon (azure belt) bearing the name "AMVROSIIVKA" in gold lettering.
Symbolism in Brief
The overall design reflects Amvrosiivka's foundation linked to the railway and its industrial focus on clay mining, brick/tile production, and building materials. The color scheme and natural elements further celebrate the region's beauty and heritage.
