This hoodie showcases the official Coat of Arms of Solita, a municipality in the Caquetá department of Colombia. The design, created by Mario Motta Lozada, is a rich tapestry of symbols that represent the region's identity, history, and aspirations.
Design Elements and Symbolism
The shield is divided into three distinct sections, each contributing to the narrative of Solita:
Upper Section: Dawn and Journey
The upper portion features a radiant sun against a vibrant sky, symbolizing the colorful sunsets that inspire hard work and development. Beneath the sun, a traditional canoe is depicted, representing the indigenous means of transportation and connection to the waterways. A wide, dark blue band represents the mighty Caquetá River, a defining geographic feature of the municipality.
Middle Section: Land and Resources
The middle section depicts the fertile plains and banana plants, symbolizing the region's agricultural heart. A patch of oil signifies the natural resources and energy potential of the area. A thin blue band completes this section, continuing the representation of the Caquetá River and the surrounding waters.
Lower Section: Nourishment and Fauna
